Vintage 44″ Mexican 925 Sterling Silver Lariat Necklace Twisted Rope Dangling Tassels 1980s Retro Era Jewelry and offered by TheJewelSeeker. This is fabulous find, these heavy and extra long sterling silver lariats are rare, hard to find pieces. This is an extra long and weighty and fabulous vintage sterling silver Mexican lariat necklace. It is a 1980s creation, but signed CMS who was a silversmith who also designed jewelry in Taxco between 1948-1980. This rare Lariat is unusual in that is is much longer and thicker than most necklaces of this style. The necklace’s twisted rope chain is flexible and comfortable to wear.
The decorative tassels on both ends are textured with a brushed silver and have 14 dangling fine sterling chains. This chain measures 44″ long, and is approximately 3/8″ thick. The decorative end caps with tassels measures approximately 5/8″ in diameter X 2″ long. The total weight is approximately 170.3 grams. It is very faintly and hard to read marked, on the bottom of the decorative balls with CMS, 925 & STER We can make out a 8 and T. With a bit of research, we were able to confirm that the maker initials are CMS and the 9 is the reg. code TM-48. These markings are very difficult to see, as they are on the brushed silver round balls end caps with dangling chains. It is very faintly and hard to read marked, on the bottom of the decorative balls with CMS, 925 & STER We can make out a 8 and T. With a bit of research, we were able to confirm that the maker initials are CMS and the 9 is the reg. code TM-48. These markings are very difficult to see, as they are on the brushed silver round balls end caps with dangling chains.

I do recommend that if you purchase earrings, to disinfect the hardware with several wipes of alcohol (be careful to avoid the stones). NOTE: Clip on Earrings may need to be tightened or loosened, according to the size of ear lobes. You can obtain an “earring key” online at jewelry supply shops, or take it to your local jewelry store.

What do I do if item arrives damaged or Seller misrepresented the item?
