Carved Wooden Scottie Dog Tie Bar, Vintage 1940s Deco Era Mens Jewelry or Suit & Tie Accessory offered by TheJewelSeeker on 21VintageStreet.com This little Scottie Dog is dangling from two chains that lead to a Tie Bar. This is a primo example of jewelry from the WWII era, when metal was limited (used primarily for military needs). It was not unusual for a gift to be hand carved or handmade out of non wood products. In a sense, is was a arts and crafts era. This piece has been well cared for. The little Scottie dog is wearing an red enamel collar, and has a little black “dot” eye. It is unsigned, and well made. The dog measures approximately 3/4″ x 1″, and the bar measures 2″ long.

IMPORTANT INFO: Although I do my best, Photographing jewelry for size reference can be a little tricky, and often items look larger on screen. Colors can also vary depending on computers. So, please refer to the description of color and measurements for actual size. All items are described to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. You, the buyer, are the final judge after viewing the photos and reading the description.
Most items have been cleaned, but there may be some additional cleaning that will need to be done to meet the standards of the buyer.
I do recommend that if you purchase earrings, to disinfect the hardware with several wipes of alcohol (be careful to avoid the stones). NOTE: Clip on Earrings may need to be tightened or loosened, according to the size of ear lobes. You can obtain an “earring key” online at jewelry supply shops, or take it to your local jewelry store.
