Vintage gold filled bracelet signed WRE for the W E Richards company features glossy black ovals in a link bracelet. Fastens with a fold over clasp. Each oval link is about 5/8 inches long. Bracelet measures 6 3/4 inches long so may fit a slightly smaller wrist best.
The black ovals are most likely glass although possibly onyx. They are smooth and shiny. This company made a number of pieces that incorporated semi precious stones.
Circa 1940s to 50s. This would make a very nice bracelet for someone who appreciates a more refined, minimalist look.
Condition: Very good overall. Some minor surface wear on the cabochons and minimal wear on the gold fill of the links. Please see photos as they are an important part of the description.
Marked WRE (actually the R is a bit larger so should technically be read WER) and 1/20 12K GF for Gold Filled.
The W E Richards company has been in existence from the early 1900s in Attleboro Massachusetts and is well known in the vintage costume jewelry world.
