Art Deco Celluloid Brooch 1920’s – 1930’s Creamy White, Black Enamel & Clear Rhinestones – Rounded Triangle – Vintage Early Century Jewelry offered by TheJewelSeeker on 21VintageStreet
This brooch layed amongst some modern jewelry when I spotted it. It was love at first site! It’s ever so art deco in every possible way, from the celluloid it is made from to the shape of the rounded yet sharp lines of the piece. The contrasting colors of black and creamy white stands out, and the center raised section with rhinestones is marvelous. Note: Two of the rhinestones look to have been replaced, and are slightly bigger than the others, and a couple of them are smaller than others. We believe this was probably done many years ago, and for the sake of keeping this brooch authentic and original, we decided to leave it this way. We love to look at a brooch and see genuine “history” of a piece, even if it means we leave alterations. This is just awesome!!!
