This antique quadruple plate teacup and saucer set was made by James W Tufts of Boston in the late 1800s to early 1900s. The bottom of both pieces are marked “James W Tufts Boston, Warranted Quadruple Plate 4412”. They have an engraved floral design and are tarnished from age to a dark tone. PLEASE NOTE: The saucer has a 1/4″ line that looks like a cut at one part of the edge (see last photo). The cup and saucer show their age beautifully, and the lovely slightly irregular shapes of the edges of both pieces show the hand work and skill that went into the pieces. The set weighs approximately 10oz. Wonderful collectible pieces.
